Beautiful shot; great color detail! This species reminds me the day that I mark as when I first got hooked on watching birds. Back in early summer of 1978 I was in Nome, Alaska for a few days and someone loaned a pair of binoculars and a Peterson's field guide. This was at the hight of the arctic breeding season and I had a great time! One of the first birds I identified was one of these little guys. I really appreciate the fact that you list the scientific name to your subjects! It eliminates the confusion caused by differences in local names. For example, In North America, we call this bird the Lapland Longspur, even though it is in the Bunting family (Calcariidae).
